UK Skilled Worker Visa
The Skilled Worker visa allows employers to sponsor non-UK nationals to work in the
UK in eligible, skilled roles. It allows skilled professionals to build their professional
careers in the UK. The duration of stay as per the U.K. Skilled Worker is for a maximum period of 5 years.
How long does a Skilled Worker visa last?
The skilled worker visa is usually granted for up to 5 years. At this point, the visa
holder would need to apply to extend the visa or on completing the 5-year residency
requirement, they may become eligible to apply for UK indefinite leave the remain.
There is no limit on the number of times the Skilled Worker visa can be extended, provided the worker continues to meet the visa requirements
Increase in skilled worker minimum salary from Spring 2024
Following a government announcement in December 2023, the minimum salary bthreshold for a skilled worker application will rise by nearly 50% from £26,200 to £38,700 – which is more than double the UK minimum wage rate.
Health and care workers, and roles such as teachers with national pay scales, will be exempt from the increased threshold.
In addition, the changes announced also include the removal of the 20% salary discount for shortage occupation roles.

Requirements to Apply for a UK Tier-2 Visa
The documentation required for the UK Tier 2 Visa includes:
- Having a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from an employer
- Salary and financial details
- Current passport and travel history
- Certifications proving your English skills (4.5 IELTS / UK Naric)
- Police verification certificate
- Other supporting documents

documents will be verified by both the case manager and a representative from the

- Forwarding Profile to Employers
Your profile will be sent to potential employers. The case manager will then work with these employers to arrange interviews or relevant discussions
- Interview Coordination
The case manager will assist in coordinating interviews
between you and the employers. They may also facilitate relevant discussions
regarding your employment
- Certificate of Sponsorship (COS)
Upon successful completion of your interview,
the case manager will work with the employer to obtain a Certificate of Sponsorship
(COS). This certificate is necessary for your visa application.
- Visa Application Initiation
Once the COS is secured, the visa application process
will be initiated. The case manager will guide you through this process.
- Embassy Appointment
You’ll be provided with information regarding your
embassy appointment. The case manager will ensure that you’re prepared for this appointment and may assist with any necessary arrangements. You’ll be provided
